2013 oklahoma state wrestling championships action packed

I made the drive out to see the Oklahoma wrestling state championships last night. There a ton of awesome matches.  I can tell you one thing. There are quite a few oklahoma state wrestling champions that will be wrestling in some division 1 colleges.  Here are a few of the matches I really enjoyed.
Boo Lewallen win 2013 state wrestling title at 120 pounds

6A 132 Pounds Keegan Moore(Putnam City) vs Joe Smith(Stillwater)
This was an action packed match.  Keegan Moore won the match 13-12.  It was like both wrestlers were putting on a takedown clinic.  One wrestler would score a take down and let the other guy up.  This was probably the best match I watched all night.  Joe Smith was winning the match with a few seconds left and Keegan Moore scored a takedown with seconds left in the match.  Keegan is the nephew of Hardell Moore.

6A 120 Pounds Boo Lewallen(Yukon) vs Markus Simmons(Broken Arrow)
This was another exciting match.  Both guys were evenly matched.  Markus Simmons was the 2013 state champ at 106 pounds last year and Boo Lewallen as a runner up at 113 last year.  The match was very close and could have gone either way.  The wrestling match ended  going into over time and Boo Lewallen scored the final take down to win this first state title.

5A 138 Pounds Gary Wayne Harding(Collinsville) vs Brok Williams(MacArthur)
Although this match wasn't close, I always like to watch Gary wrestle.  He controlled the match from the start and cruised on to win his third straight title.  Gary is only a junior and has a chance to be one of a select group to be  4-time wrestling state champ.

There were a ton of other great matches, but these were the ones that really stuck out in my mind. Some things to take note of.

Perry won their title with 104 points in 3A
Tuttle won the team title with 193 points in 4A
Collinsville won their team title with 174 points in 5A
Edmond North won their title with 125 points in 6A
